Alicia Corts focuses her research on Internet performance and the construction of gender online. She has served as the graduate representative for the Religion and Theatre focus group for the Associate for Theatre in Higher Education, and she has also organized a working group for the American Society for Theatre Research conference in 2013 and 2014. She has presented papers at the Digital Arts and Humanities conference, ATHE, ASTR, Theatre Symposium, the Women and Girls in Georgia conference, and the International Federation for Theatre Research scenography working group in Prague. She has published in Theatre Journal and Ecumenica, and she in included in the edited volume The Immersive Internet: Reflections on the Entangling of the Virtual with Society, Politics and the Economy. She currently works as an instructional designer for UGAonline, the Office of Online Learning at the University of Georgia, where her research helps to craft professors’ online presence.
