DESIGN/TECH THESIS REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for the Creative Project Paper in Design
The paper must be word processed, double-spaced, and follow a standard
scholarly paper format. It should normally average 15-20 pages in length.
It should discuss in detail the following:
- Script Analysis, with particular attention to style, imagery mood,
and form, as well as particular design requirements.
- Directorial requirements, including interpretation, style, practical
needs, ad overall artistic, aesthetic, concept/image.
- Practical aspects; i.e., budget, time, physical limitations theatre
- Research findings; which are relevant to the production
- Basic design concept; as it has been developed from the above
criteria including your own interpretive reasoning as it applies in visual terms,
form, line, color, texture, etc.
- Bibliography
This paper will be prepared during production planning and as a follow-up
to the production, and will be turned into your major professor
immediately after the close of the production.
