New Georgia Production: NAVASSA

Fine Arts Building Cellar Theatre (Room 55)
There's Atlantis. There's El Dorado. Then there's NAVASSA -- all too real. Based on an unbelievable true story, NAVASSA, An Astrolabe blends history and myth to recount the harrowing events of the last American slave riot. Love, prejudice, redemption, violent retribution abound on an island too small to hold back so many gods. This original play, written by I. B. Hopkins and directed by Hannah Robbins, is the winner of the 2015 New Georgia Grant competition.
