Auditions for Thalian Blackfriars Spring Shows

There is a TON of student work happening this semester! Audition for up to four shows written, produced, and directed by your peers! Where: Room 201, Fine Arts Building When: Wednesday, February 6th from 5 PM - 10 PM Prepare: 2 contrasting monologues, not to exceed 90 seconds. Keep in mind that most of the shows being produced are dark comedies. Resume requested, if available. The sign-up sheet for audition times will be on the Thalian Blackfriars' call board outside of Room 115 in the Fine Arts Building. We NEED stage managers and crews members for ALL of the shows. Auditions are for the following shows: 8 - By Dustin Lance Black Directed by Nathan Cowling March 18 & 19, 2013, The BALCONY Theatre A Thalian Blackfriars’ Staged Reading 8 portrays the legal argument and witness testimony of the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial, which led to the overturn of California’s Proposition 8. Performed as an emphatic staged reading. CAST: 21 Male or Female Kill Me Now - By Will Murdock April 14 & 15, 2013, The CELLAR Theatre The 2012/2013 New Georgia Grant Show. Harvey is your everyday guy. He has a house, a job, and a car. Did we mention he is a serial killer? Haunted by the ghost of the women killed, Harvey is torn between the temptation to murder once more or quitting cold-turkey. A dramedy. CAST: 1 Male, 5 Female Feeble Eyes - A New Western by George Pate April 24, 2013, The ARENA Theatre Part of the Thalian Blackfriars’ New Student Works Festival. When people start disappearing mysteriously, a U.S. Marshall begins an investigation that could implicate everyone in this western town. Darkly comic, with awesomely fun characters. CAST: 5 Male, 1 Female, 2 Male or Female Non-speaking, 1 Guitarist Zombie U – A New Play by Tifany Lee April 25, 2013, The CELLAR Theatre Part of the Thalian Blackfriars’ New Student Works Festival. A dark comedy about Zombies. Enough said. CAST: 4 Male, 3 Female, 2 Male or Female Non-speaking, 1 Guitarist
