Department Colloquium: Kristyl Tift and Carina Brankovic

The first Theatre and Film Studies Colloquium of the 2013-2014 academic year will feature presentations by two doctoral students. Our very own Kristyl Tift will present her paper "Queering the Politics of Black Respectability: Divisions of Flesh and Spirit in LeRoi Jones' The Baptism," and Carina Brankovic, a PhD Student in Religious Studies from the Center for European History and Culture (ZEGK) at the University of Heidelberg, will present a paper drawing on her dissertation research, "Constructions of Ritual Elements in The Cannibals (1968) by George Tabori." This event is open to the public; attendance is required for all Theatre & Film Studies graduate students.
