Fine Arts Building

Friends and Alumni

Dear Friend:

Thank you for your involvement with the Department of Theatre and Film Studies. It is for you, and through your generous support, that our success is possible.

Please consider joining our newly founded Supporting Cast to take part in our growing theatrical world.

Your support will enrich the quality of the many programs within the Department of Theatre and Film Studies by providing funds that support students, faculty, programs, and facilities. Private support from Cast members such as you provides funding not only for our mainstage productions each season, but also student–run theatrical groups such as Thalian-Blackfriars and the Commedia troupe I Commedianti Georgiani, as well as numerous other outlets for artistic expression in the performance arts.

Our faculty takes pride in providing outstanding opportunities in theatrical production, artistic training, and research in the future of performing arts in all media. From our first-in-the-nation Interactive Performance Lab, which combines the cutting edge of computer animation technologies with the live stage, to our MFA actor and designer training programs, which provide quality education to future theatre professionals, to our research-based PhD program, our department is honored to attract and train future leaders in professional and academic theatre.

None of this is possible without Supporting Cast members such as you, whether in our audience enjoying a show, an alumnus with bragging rights for your alma mater, or financial patrons of the theatre who appreciate how hard work and dedication can bring the wildest of dreams to life on the stage.

You can become a Support Cast member by contributing securely online or by filling out and returning this form. Your contribution is tax-deductible.

We also encourage you to consider a tax–deductible contribution to a new undergraduate scholarship we are establishing for to honor the memory of Martin Holubar. For more information about Martin and the scholarship, click here. To contribute securely online to the fund, click here.

Sincerely,

David Z. Saltz, Head
