Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so you can fill out an information sheet. Bring your Fall class schedule with you to auditions so you can include any potential conflicts you might have on your information sheet.

Please prepare two contrasting monologues (memorized) not to exceed a combined total of three minutes (you will be timed and stopped at 3 minutes).

Callback lists for the various productions will be posted Tuesday evening, November 14, both on the callboard located in the basement and at www.drama.uga.edu.

Sides for callbacks will also be posted at www.drama.uga.edu

(Sides are small sections of the script that directors will ask that you read during callbacks.)

Please take time to peruse these sides in advance so that you’re prepared for your callbacks! You are free to print these sections when you download them.
Please be sure to check callback lists for the specific shows, locations, and times you may be called for.

Please note: The following roles have been pre-cast to satisfy requirements of the MFA Acting degree candidates as third-year, thesis projects. These actors are enrolled in the three-year professional actor training program at the Master of Fine Arts level, a terminal graduate degree.

    Detroit:
    John Terry —Ben
    Ami Sallee—Mary
    Taylor Wood—Sharon

    Othello:
    Charlie Cromer—Iago

UGA Theatre productions generally rehearse 5 evenings per week (Mon-Fri, roughly 4 hrs per night) plus one rehearsal per weekend (either Saturday or Sunday, 5-6 hrs). Detroit and BFE may likely rehearse 4-5 weeks. Othello will likely rehearse 6-7 weeks due to the complications of producing Shakespeare. Please understand these time frames before you commit to auditioning for the UGA Theatre season.
