Dialogue Across Difference Workshop with Dr. Anthony James

DAD_Workshop
Room 115 | Fine Arts Building

The Dialogue Across Differences workshop promotes respectful and open conversations among individuals from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and opinions. Its primary goal is to create an inclusive environment, allowing participants to engage in meaningful dialogues, share their unique experiences, and explore different viewpoints. To achieve this, the workshop uses various communication and active listening techniques to promote mutual understanding between participants.

The workshop places a significant emphasis on psychological safety, ensuring that participants feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, ideas, and emotions without fearing being judged or facing backlash. This is crucial for fostering authentic dialogues and building trust among participants.

During the workshop, participants learn to identify and address their biases, practice empathy, and enhance communication skills to contribute to a more collaborative and inclusive setting. By combining dialogue across differences with the establishment of psychological safety, the workshop aims to strengthen connections, improve teamwork, and create a culture where diverse perspectives are respected and valued.

Sessions will be held in room 115 of the Fine Arts Building between 12:45PM-3:45PM on March 25. Space is limited. Signup is required.
