Entertainment and Media Studies), University of Georgia 2014 Most recently starring as Claudette in 4400, she has also played Janice Jones in Empire, Katherine Boyd in Chicago PD, and appeared in The Chi, Killing Eleanor, Proven Innocent, and An Acceptable Loss. Her stage work includes Bernhardt/Hamlet (Goodman Theatre), We Are Proud To Present... (Steppenwolf), Too Heavy For Your Pocket (TimeLine Theatre, 2019 BTA Award Winner for Best Featured Actress in a Play), Harvey (Court Theatre), Macbeth, Love's Labor's Lost (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley and Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley (Northlight Theatre). Regional credits include The African Company Presents Richard III, Arcadia, An Ideal Husband (American Players Theatre), Good People, The Color Purple, Dreamgirls and A Christmas Carol (Milwaukee Repertory Theater). In addition to acting, she writes, “I found myself giving financial advice to my friends and colleagues in the business. I realized that many of the professionals I worked with didn't have a solid foundation for financial literacy, especially as it relates to being an artist. Many of my friends would come back to me and tell me the accomplishments they had made financially after we had talked and it brought me so much joy! I decided to put a formal education and title to this work and am now pursuing the Accredited Financial Counselor® designation. I took the exam in 2020 and passed, leaving the 1000 hours of experience as the last part of my training before I can get the designation. I have taught workshops for artists as well as students about to enter the business at Carthage College in Wisconsin and the Emerging Professional Residents at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre.” As a UGA Theatre major, she won the Baker Award in Acting and is still remembered for her powerful portrayal of Lady Macbeth in Macbeth on the Fine Arts Stage. She also appeared with UGA Theatre in Chicago (Fine Arts) and Ruined (Cellar Theatre), was in Much Ado About Nothing for the theatre study abroad program in Cortona, and was active in the department student groups.
