Prospective Undergraduate Student Tour

Pros_2024
Fine Arts Building | Lobby

Prospective undergraduate students and their families are invited to tour our department, theatres, shops, and learn about our degree programs on various days throughout the semester. Outreach Coordinator Dina Canup will lead the tour and discussion, which begins in the Fine Arts Building lobby and lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Feb. 20 and Apr. 17 Tours will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Fine Arts Building lobby (park at the North Campus or Tate Center parking deck). Dates and times subject to change.  You may also want to plan to see a UGA Theatre production on or near the date of the tour.

Note on APRIL 17-18, 2025: we are working towards a larger Behind the Scenes event spanning two days, with more information to follow. We will do the standard prospective student tour and info session the morning of the 17th, but may be adding additional workshops that afternoon geared towards juniors and seniors (such as an audition workshop, camera workshop, etc.). Attendees can see UGA Theatre's Sense and Sensibility that night (or visit Cine, the art house cinema in downtown Athens) and return Saturday for an open house and additional workshops open to the larger community such as acting for the camera, backstage tour with the technical director and stage manager, design showcase, film workshop, etc. This event is still in the early planning stages, so stay tuned!

Please RSVP to Dina Canup via email and include the following information:

  • Student(s) Name
  • Graduation Year from High School w/name of High School OR current college/year if you are interested in transferring to UGA, w/name of current college
  • Area(s) of Interest in Theatre or Film
