400 Screenwriter David McKenna will visit the Department of Theatre and Film for a conversation with students about his work in film and television on March 27 at 10:00 a.m. in room 400. McKenna is the writer of American History X (1998) and has contributed to projects including Blow (2001) and S.W.A.T. (2003). A graduate of the University of Southern California who began his career as a playwright before moving into screenwriting, McKenna has worked across studio and independent projects. His visit provides students with the opportunity to engage with a writer whose career reflects multiple entry points into the film industry. All are invited to attend.
