The Southeastern Theatre Conference is a bastion of Theatre networking opportunities for professional theatre practitioners and students alike, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. This was apparent at this past weekend’s 71st Annual SETC Convention, which saw the work of graduate students Travis Blansit (2nd Year, Lighting Design MFA), Haley Brown (1st year Lighting Design MFA), and undergraduate Maddie Walsh selected for adjudication by prestigious industry professionals. They were among only 8 individuals chosen to receive one-on-one, personal critiques from Gregg Barnes (Kinky Boots – Costume)  Anna Louizos (In the Heights – Scenic), Howell Binkley (Hamilton – Lighting), and Matt Hubbs (Indecent – Sound).

Maddie Walsh (pictured below with scenic designer Anna Louizos) placed third in the Undergraduate Scenic Design category with her work on UGA Theatre's In the Blood from last season. The department would like to congratulate all of these students for their wonderful accomplishments!
