The Department of Theatre and Film Studies would like to congratulate first year theatre major Wyn Alyse Thomas on the publication of her play Commitment Issues: A Musical, which will be made available for licensing with Next Stage Press on April 1.

Commitment Issues: A Musical was produced at Adlai E. Stevenson High School and received further development as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region IV conference, where it won an award.

Next Stage Press is a leading independent play publishing and licensing house that prints acting editions of scripts which are available in hard copy and electronically. Wyn joins an impressive roster of playwrights in the catalogue, including Don Nigro, Lisa Langford, Arlene Hutton, Mark Medoff, Philip Middleton Williams, and Scott C. Sickles. Owned and operated by playwright Gene Kato, Next Stage Press has a relationship with the Drama Book Shop in NYC (co-owned by Lin Manuel Miranda), where several scripts are prominently displayed.
