The University of Georgia’s Theatre and Film students continue to pursue professional and creative opportunities beyond the academic year.

Julie Ray, head of UGA's Department of Theatre and Film, is extending her leadership beyond the classroom with two professional scenic design credits at The Hippodrome Theatre in 2025.

Dr. Alice Lovejoy will be visiting on Nov. 6 to give a lecture titled "Eastman Kodak, Tennessee  Eastman, and Film’s Militant Chemistry in the New South" at 4:30 p.m. in MLC room 250. 

The Willson Center for Humanities and Arts will host a book launch for a new critical edition and translation of Tale of Black Histories, a play created by the Caribbean writer Edouard Glissant on Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Willson Center.
